A picture-perfect Easter Sunday, a table by the window. Outside, Deer Valley ski slopes. Inside, a magnificent buffet of endless variety beautifully presented. This set the atmsophere for possibly the most memorable meal the four of us have ever experienced. Many thanks to the Glitretind Restaurant at the beautiful Stein Ericksen Lodge. When I asked my friend what she thought... More

We ate breakfast here 5 days as we were staying at the Stein Eriksen Lodge and had dinner here one evening. The food is fresh and thoughtful. The service is attentive and detailed. The wine list is a little overpriced, but the view and atmosphere almost make up for it. The wild game chili is very filling with chunks of... More

Six of us went to eat at the Stein restaurant. All six agreed that the food was disgusting. The meal began with the appetizers. Since we were all hungry most of us were able to eat them. This should have been a clue to get out of dodge and go to another place to eat. I can't remember which appetizers... More

Have eaten here every time we ski Deer Valley. Absolutely, without a doubt, the best place on the slopes!!! So accessible from one of the lifts- just hop off, ski 10 feet, and there you are. The host staff is always welcoming and friendly. You would think that they might be a little snooty (sorry-but its a thought one might... More

We went to The Glitretind for the Christmas Buffet. I know how it sounds. But trust me, well worth every penny. The Santa Claus was great, and convinced my 37 year old self, and my father in law to sit have our pictures taken with him. The views are amazing, as is the decor. This place is truly a special... If you are skiing at DV I recommend trying this for lunch one day. Gave the skiers buffet. They don't take reservations so get there early. Ride the Viking lift then take an immediate left off the lift. Wonderful fruit, salads, seafood, omelets, and daily specials.

The Glitretind restaurant at the Stein Eriksen Lodge is beautiful, has wonderful food, and attentive service. Eating at the restaurant also provided us with the opportunity to see the hotel, which is really amazing. While not inexpensive, dinner at the Glitretind made for a very special evening.

This restaurant is wonderful - service fantastic and food delicious! Stein Ericksen is often there and it is a treat to see such a ski legend. The restaurant is pricey but worth every extra cent. Treat yourself and go! We were there during a holiday week and if you arrive after the lunch rush (1:30 or 2) you won't have... More

A classic day to celebrate in the Utah mountains is with a dedicated morning of skiing at Deer Valley, followed by a late seating at the skiers' buffet at the Glitretind in the Stein Ericksen Lodge. I've done it many times -- this winter with a group of six, who survived a morning of high winds and driving snow on... More

This restaurant is in a great location for a ski-in ski-out lunch in Deer Valley. We have eaten here more times than we can remember. Try to make reservations ahead of time, as it gets very busy. A later time might be better because you might not be able to ski after lunch here! Words cannot describe the superior quality... More
