Had lunch here just before a football game. Staff was working hard. Good lunch everytime I stop here. Nice decor. Liked their Dr. pepper Wings.
I really want to like it but always walk away disappointed, the only thing I love there is the fried jalapeños which they took off the menu but you can still order them, and my husband loves the chicken fried steak, the Dr pepper ribs aren't bad either. haven't loved the salmon, Greek salad or the king ranch casserole.
Enjoy this classic roadhouse restaurant with comfort food and cocktails. I was traveling solo and wanted a good meal and a stiff drink and found both here. I was so pleased that I made it a point to stop on my return trip and will do so again. The drinks are very good -- and very well priced. The comfort... More
Great place for multi-gen reunions, the Elite's menu has items pleasing to all. Chicken fried steak/chicken, coconut shrimp, Sunday brunch, steaks are favorites. Passed huge test by honoring predicted wait times on year's busiest weekend--Baylor Homecoming (50,000 alumni return!) Servers slightly overwhelmed, they were pleasant & hopping. Sentimental journey for '50s grads who ate there after returning dates to dorm... More
My wife and I visited this restaurant on a Sunday in October. We barely found a place to park, but were promptly seated. After we were seated,... More
We met some folks here a few days ago for lunch. I had read many reviews about the service being slow so we were prepared to wait. That did not happen to us. We arrived first, were met by the hostess and told her we were going to wait in the bar until our friends arrived. The bar area is... More
A comfort food menu. We both got the combo lunch; wedge salad plus soup and a wedge salad plus chili. Both were tasty and good portions ($9.20 each plus tax). The rolls were stale. Restaurant management must like coconut as it was featured in a number of menu items; the butter even came covered in it. For a couple who... More
It has been over 10 years since we last ate at the Elite Cafe. It was remodeled in 2003. The outside looks the same but inside was pretty bland. The food however was very good. Wife had the hamburger sliders with onion rings. I had bowl of minestrone soup. Both very tasty but it took 20 minutes to get served... More
Recommended by friends. Good Chicken fried steak. Service was excellent and the sides were very, very good. Wedge salad was interesting. Nice place to stop if you are passing through.
