Our meal at Roosevelt's was disappointing. The coconut shrimp was tasteless except for the sauce drizzled on it. My steak was overcooked and dry. The potatoes had the potential to be good but were overwhelmed by parmesan. On the plus side, the asparagus was good and fresh, and the crab cakes were tasty. The hostess was so very friendly and... With an abundance of unique restaurants in Port A from which to choose, you will certainly appreciate the cuisine here. Enjoy the backporch ambiance of the Tarpon Inn and a glass of wine during appetizers. The baguette and quail's tails with risotto was wonderful. We tried all three salads then steak and lobster and finished with french pressed coffee and... More

Took our family of 10 there and had made reservations way in advance...our table was not ready and we were not even offered cocktails while we waited . long wait , the place is sooo drab. Overhead lighting only..horrible ambiance. Felt like I was in a warehouse. The food was so-so and for the price, never again. They need larger... More

The young chef (Jeff?) was amazing - with fast gourmet platings and some of the finest garnishes and plate designs that you will see. Very accommodating, allowing us our dogs on the patio, and the General Manager took time to speak with us at length and even give us some great historical knowledge about the hotel and restaurant. Had calamari,... More

This is obviously a great restaurant. Food was wonderful and delicious. Only problem was waitress did not write down our order and so we did not get our salads. Customers would like the food they order, they way they order it, not parlor tricks. We are not impressed by your ability to remember/forget our order. Please, lord have mercy, write... More

The good first, then the bad. This was the best fish I have had, the grouper. My husband had the lamb chops which he said were the best he has had in a long time. I ate every single bite of the grouper. So the main course was excellent. The crab cakes were ok; not the best I have had.... More

Fantastic meal at Roosevelt's - the Mahi Mahi Etoufee special, shrimp ravioli with halibut and coconut shrimp were outstanding...the keylime pie and pumpkin cheesecake were to die for. We've been coming to Port A for several years now and glad we looked at TripAdvisor...great place for a small intimate group but make a reservation, service staff and chef are very... More

We were having a small family gathering in Port A during the holidays.Where to eat New Years Eve was the big question. Friends had recommended Roosevelt's and the reviews on Trip were positive. Unfortunately they were booked. Much to our surprise they called back and said they had had a cancellation and could fit our party of nine. We arrived... More

Bring plenty of money, but it is worth it. Best lamb chops I've ever had. Chicken and shrimp dish also outstanding. Whatever you do don't miss the Oysters Rock. Wait staff pleasant and the kitchen staff will make recommendations for you!
