Delicious fresh food - warm rolls. Entrees include 2 sides with daily specials. Save room for any of the desserts that greet you as you walk into the door. We barely had room for 1 Cranberry Crunch which was served warm - absolutely melt-in-your mouth. Beautiful setting along the Guadalupe River.

We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals while overlooking the Guadalupe River. The Meatloaf reminded my husband of his grandmother's and I had the Tilapia which was excellent. The green beans were the only thing that we didn't like. Make sure to indulge in the Peach Cobbler.

The prices were reasonable. The food was better than most but not the best we have had. I'd go back. The service was really good.

Recommend by the hotel as a good place for our dinner. Looking back, I think that we should have tried a Mexican restaurant that we passed on the way to this place. We went here when they first opened in Kerrville. My husband remarked that he did not like Black Angus Beef. The waiter went and told the manager who proceeded to come to our table and confront him! In a loud voice he asked why he did not like that kind of beef and my husband and I just excused ourselves... More

I have been going to Billy Gene's since they opened a few years ago, but have noticed that they have recently changed their menu a little bit. BUT, it has not affected the quality of their food. Currently they are offering really good food and a reasonable rate. I suggest trying their chicken fried chicken or the 6 oz steak.

We have been to this restaurant several times always hoping the food will be better. Unfortuneately, it never is. This is a Kerrville, TX haunt for many people, usually the elderly. That may be why the food is so bland. Nice people, good service and great pies and deserts. Just O.K. food.
