We were 10 minutes late but our table was still not ready for 40 minutes after the time we booked. Bar service was a shambles, waited 10 minutes to get a drink as the barman and a waiter were searching aimlessly for a bottle of wine for a table; not a good start! Eventually got seated, our waiter (Jessie) was... More

Lunch on a weekday with 7 coworkers was disappointing. While the food was tasty and artfully presented, the service from both the kitchen and the waitstaff was not what I would have expected for something so pricy. Everyone else at the table ordered the 3-course business lunch. I opted for a Caesar salad and crab appetizer. Ispecifically told the waiter... More

The food here is very good, decor and ambiance is excellent and the wait staff is great. The only downside (other than the price) is the desserts. They were not good and I'd not waste my money on them again. Just be prepared to pay top dollar but for a special occasion you won't be disappointed.

This is a fantastic find in Houston! The service is excellent, and the food and the variety of the menu is a real thrill! I received personal attention from the waiters and each course was outstanding. I had asked for a booth with a light so that I could read and they set up a reading lamp for me near... More

This is a very good, authentic French restaurant. The atmosphere is lively with the kitchen on one side of the floor with a 'chef's table' (indeed more of a bar) curving along one side. There are booths and tables here too with dimmed lighting. We had booked a table for 8pm and upon arrival were offered a choice of table... More

We chose Artisans because we wanted to go somewhere currently popular, with atmosphere, lively, etc. Made our reservation a week in advance - 6 people. Great looking restaurant when you walk in (nice decor, nice activity), and then they walked our 6-top back to some boring ballroom with 5-6 large tables and TVs on the wall. Special room for meetings... More

My husband and I made reservations here for a date night. We got there on time and our table was not available, we had to wait 40 minutes at the bar which was not bad at all. We had a booth next to the window which I recommend there are only a few of them so ask for one, otherwise... More

Went there for date night. We were given a table in a quiet corner, just as we had asked in our reservation. We took the 5 course meal, my husband also took the wine pairing. This is 50$ extra, so 10$/glass. Usually, in a restaurant, when you get wine by the glass, the glass is half full. Not here. Good... More

great ambience with le cruset french ovens scattered around as ?party favors?...escargot, fois gras, and very reasonable wines. Wow, the carrot soup was spicy but not too much. Have been four times in last two months, very much fun. And the open kitchen is fun to watch...

We have eaten at Artisans twice now and have thoroughly enjoyed our meals both times. The French style menu changes some but they maintain their staples: pan seared foie gras on a perfectly buttered slice of a baguette drizzled with a fig balsalmic reduction sauce, seared lamb loin on top of blanched green beans served with a small pot of...
