The Big Easy shrimp was yummy! Fresh shrimp in a delicious sauce awesome for sopping up with fresh French bread. Fair number of choices, but i already know what i want when i go back!

If you love gumbo then this is the place for you. They have many different choices of gumbo made directly for you. If you also loved steamed kettle seafood pots, they have a few yummy ones as well. The atmosphere feels homie and spacing is small inside but outside seating is available as well. You won't be disappointed.
There were two of us and we decided to order together and share. We had the char-grilled oysters and the steamed clam pot. The clams came in a delicious broth made with wine, lemon and herbs. The dish included a plate of toasted bread to soak up the delicious broth. The oysters had a crusty layer of cheese and were...

The service here is very good and we loved the atmosphere - you feel like this a place where everyone knows your name!! We love their gumbo and shrimp poboys. The location is great - The Strand area and within walking distance of the many shops.
We stopped here for lunch while in Galveston on business. I have seen this place really crowded in the evenings, but it wasn't that busy for lunch. Each of us had different gumbo's, but we all thought they were excellent. For the price, this was a great deal.
We had a lovely lunch on the "patio". My husband loved his steamed shrimp. I thought that my Char-Grilled Oysters and BBQ Oysters were better.
We go here all the time. It is packed on weekends so be prepared to wait. They just opened another spot on the seawall so we will check it out. Made fresh to order gumbo. Get the Big Daddy and take some home. Best sweet potato fries too. Everything is great. Just a long wait.
While I still maintain, I've never experienced better gumbo anywhere in Texas...what I realllly enjoy is the ciapino....just some fine mussels, clams, fish, and gulf shrimp in a tomato based broth...occasionally dipping the most delicious garlic/parmesan breads into the broth which was enhanced slightly with one of the pepper sauces offered at the bar. We always enjoy sitting at the...

My sister and I visited on a slow Wednesday night. We were seated immediately. Our order of broiled oysters were cold unfortunately, but I could tell they were fresh. The manager did not offer to remove the charge from our bill and we did not ask because we ate them anyway. Both of us got a wedge salad, mine with...

I love the cioppino, my husband loves the gumbo...it's perfect. I think the individual steamer bowls are so cool, and it allows the seafood not to be overcooked as the soups are put together when they are ordered. This is definitely worth a trip.
