We have been going to Javier's for many years...and I can say that their consistency is amazing. They have a wonderful staff and great food as well. Portions are reasonable and the flavors are delicious. My wife enjoys the snapper Mojo de Ajo (brown butter garlic sauce) and I enjoy the Filete Cantinflas (a beef filet mild cheese in the... More

I had first been to Javier's in the 80s when I travelled to Dallas on business. It was a small, quiet restaurant with delicious food. I had not been back to Dallas in 20 years, so I was especially looking forward to eating at Javier's! I was surprised to see all the upscale cars and limos outside the restaurant when... More

I had been to Javier's several years ago and remembered it being quite good. But last night made me know that I would never, ever visit the restaurant again. I will say that it was after 10 p.m. on a Friday night, if that can be an excuse, but the food was shockingly bad. I started with the black bean... More

Start out the evening with a Mexican Martini from any one of the many bars scattered throughout the restaurant. Then relax and take in the atmosphere... in anticipation of the culinary delights yet to come... Such as the incredible Filete Cantinflas: a tenderloin beef filet thinly sliced, cooked to perfection, stuffed with Chihuahua cheese and seasoned butter, topped with a... More

Hidden away on a bend where three side streets converge, it does not look impressive from the outside. But inside you will find superior food and service. This is a one of a kind. Not inexpensive but great value for the spend. Tried and true and consistently a very pleasing experience. Upscale casual. More

Dinner was okay here, but a bit pricey in my opinon. Atmosphere showed that this was a spot where the locals eat. Stopped in the Cigar lounge next door and that had a distinct appeal for wine and a good smoke! More

The only plus side of this restaurant are the drinks - great margaritas to start and a terrific Cafe Pierre to end! The food was not great...and as much as other reviewers SWEAR it is real Mexican...I would not have known it had it not been in the name of the place. I ended up with shrimp....sauteed with butter and... More

We went as a group of 8. The service was above average and the food was Mexican. Loved the top shelf margaritas and the ambiance. Good choice for casual meal when you are tired of steak More
