Description: Lavendou, a retreat into the French countryside - a place where life is savored as much as the food. Lavendou is thoroughly French, from the inviting decor to the gracious service and authentic cuisine. But don't expect it to be pretentious. Owner Pascal Cayet is dedicated to providing service that is friendly and efficient. And you will find Chef Francois Soyez's menu to be deliciously approachable. Serving the lighter fare of Southern France, Lavendou offers many items to tempt your taste buds.

There are better French restaurants for atmosphere and location but there may not be better prepared French in DFW. The drinks were well made and the charcuterie plate was a creative combination. The wine list is creative and features several French selections. The entrees were both outstanding. Some of the best duck I've ever had and my wife couldn't stop... More

Duck!! No, you are not going to hit your head but you will have the best roast duck in Dallas at Lavendou. I like it crispy and voila, it came out crispy outside and moist inside. This bistro is truly a trip back to Paris, but not with the side by side seating. The staff is friendly and attentive. Pascal,... More

For my niece's 10th birthday, my sister, mother and I had high tea and Lavendou and loved it! We will do this again and again. The scones were fresh from the oven and delightful. The finger sandwiches and other pastries were delicious and filling. The staff made my niece feel very special and this day was memorable. Can't wait to... More

I took my wife to Lavendou for her birthday and we were pleasantly surprised at the true authenticity of both the food and atmosphere. The service was excellent and the food was truly to die for. The subtle and delicate flavorings of the meal were complimented by a fine selection of French wines. Having just returned from France a few... More

After several days of steak, Tex-mex and barbecue, my 2 kids and I decided to try something different for our last night in texas. we were not disappointed. the restaurant is very nicely decorated, wih indoor and outdoor seating. the food is top quality, well presented and well sized. there is a large wine selection. its expensive but worth it.

We went to Lavendou in Dallas for my birthday and we had great food, attentive service, and no wait. We went on a Monday and it was perfect. The food was very flavorful and they has a nice French wine list. We were in France a few months before and wanted to recapture the French experience and Lavendou was the... More

This is my "go to" choice for the neighborhood. I can count my commute in seconds rather than minutes, but proximity is not the only draw. I love everything on the menu. I go there to meet the girls for lunch. I go their for special occasions. I go for date night. It's a one restaurant fits all kind of... More

I always enjoy the atmosphere and the food. I was surprised how many people filled the restaurant on Saturday's for afternoon tea! The portion sizes are just right. The service is the absolute best.

My fiancee surprised me with an incredible wine pairing at this quaint little French restaurant. Now this was apparently a special occasion for the restaurant as the dinner was reserved for only about twenty-five people, however the main section of the restaurant remained open for the general public, and it looked as lively as ever. The dinner was a five... More

My wife and I have had the pleasure of dining at Lavendou's numerous times over the years, our last visit being just a couple of weeks ago. Like all our trips to Lavendou's, it was a delight in every way. Pascal, the gracious owner, always goes out of his way to truly thank you for dining there along with many... More
