My wife and I dined at Lucia for the first time in early May 2012. This was after several months of trying to get a weekend reservation for a good seating time (not at 5:30pm for example). So, we had built up quite a bit of anticipation for this dinner, and I had begun to worry that it wouldn't be... More

After trying this coveted place, I have come to conclusion that I actually like Americanized Italian food better? Dont get me wrong, the food here was amazing, authentic, flavorful, well-prepared, etc, but when I fantasize about Italian food (often) it's lasagna, pizza, nochi, pasta, calzone of 2. The staff at Lucia was legit, knew their stuff and make great recommendations... More

My husband and I like a good restaurant experience that is multi-faceted, unpretentious, provides a sense of adventure, and delivers the goods with imaginative, flawlessly executed cuisine. We went recently with good friends to this trendy spot on the south side of the Trinity River, in an area that is gradually becoming regentrified and is enjoying a resurgence in popularity.... More

We were visiting from NYC and we heard this is the place to dine in Dallas now...... If you can make it through the not-so-friendly reservation process. Once you can finally enter Lucia " shrine " you will find very good service and food that it is probably out of this world in Dallas but it would be considered average... More

We were lucky to be able to squeeze in on a few hours' notice, as you usually have to make reservations a month in advance (although there are four bar seats that are "first come, first served"). The service is terrificly attentive, with complete knowledge of the fantastic menu. We started with the salumi appetizer, a sampling of the meats... More

Outstanding pasta - don't miss the sweet potato Francobolli. Great bread, Good Italian wine list, reasonably priced. Getting a reservation is not easy, but worth the trouble. Park in the backyard. More

We have been regulars at Lucia since September, 2012. Only 14 tables and a walk up counter for 4. On the first day of each month, 9o'clock sharp, customers call Lucia for reservation requests for the following month. The reservations process is worth the wait to dine here. It is on our calendar reminder permanently! Lucia is an experience to... More

Seasonal, regional, Italian dishes that are better than any Italian food in Dallas. The menu changes often, so just enjoy every bite because you might not see it again. Favorites... the salumi misti, the nduja with scrambled eggs on crostini, crispy pork belly, chicken liver crostini, and really, every single pasta dish on the menu is amazing. Most recently had the... More

We were in Dallas visiting family and our son said it was a must. That was an understatement. We went VERY early to snag the four seats at the bar: totally worth it. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food and wine. Service was personable and informative. The salumi misti was a delicious revelation.Since we are family, we... More
