This restaurant was highly rated so we were excited to visit, however, the service was bad - our waitress didn't even know what type of fish a dish had and it is a seafood restaurant! Once we got our food the portions were small, cold and in general very average - and very expensive for the low quality of food.... More

It's hard to fault this restaurant, perhaps the biggest fault is the distance from Melbourne- too far for us to visit often. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The view splendid, across the seas, the boats nearby. The food servings generous, fresh fish, fresh prawns, tasty sauces, scrumptious dessert and the most ample cheese plate. A few details in the... Wonderful seafood dinner with my wife and bunch of friends.. worth the 1 hr drive from beach house (Sandy Point, Victoria) to Pt Albert to enjoy some of the freshest and best prepared fish we all agreee we have had in the past year. Good wine list, great service by the host. Great value and the view from our table... More

We have lunched & dined here four times now and have always been delighted by the freshness and presentation of the fish and seafood. The service is friendly and attentive and there are reasonably priced wines. If your budget doesn't stretch to about $100 a head for a no-holds barred boozy meal, then try the great fish & chip shop... More

Whilst staying for a few days in this historic little town, I visited wildfish twice. The food was everything I could have wished for....fresh and modern, served with a smile and a flourish in an atmosphere evocative of times when Port Albert was a busy shipping and fishing port. Michael, the proprietor of wildfish, proudly admits to being a sixth... More

If you are planning a trip to South Gippsland you must have a meal at the wildfish restaurant. The many awards it has received are very well earned, the owner Michael Hobson has certainly put Port Albert on the map by opening this exceptional seafood restaurant. The menu is varied and comprehensive, our group ordered a wide range of dishes... More

Inittial thoughts - Strange smell like the floor had been washed with a dirty mop and the room locked up. Windows overlook jetty and bay but window frames are at eye level don't enhance view. Not a great variety of fresh seafood on the menu for a fishing village, but what we ate was enjoyable. Service was great. Prices reasonable. Would... More
