“Good alternative to Doyles on the Beach”

I regularly visit Doyles and to me the pub restaurant serves similar food to the main restaurant on the beach front. I have eaten the fish and chips - good quality fish with two large portions, and the chips were excellent double cooked. We went here because of the lovely view in the afternoon looking back towards Sydney with the sunset. That was the good part. It is basically just a pub with a self service restaurant. (no waiter).
