Rooms tired and quite expensive. Food ok. Views from the hotel beautiful but staff not very friendly. Hotel not as relaxing to sit around in as some. More

Just stayed two nights and was really impressed. The bedroom was a bit faded but totally in keeping with the hotel itself, a bit antiquey. The room was clean and comfortable and had loads of character. We opted to eat in the restaurant on our first night and the food was truly scrumptious. Presented very well and totally delicious. the food was excellent. However the bedroom is in need of an update. They are behind the times. I asked for earl grey tea bags for the bedroom. I was told that earl grey is only available in the lounge. Premier inn in london provide earl grey tea in your bedroom.! I would eat here again but i would not... More

To say we are regulars at Maes-y-Neaudd would be saying too much but we do try to eat there a couple of times a year and did stay overnight for a special wedding anniversary a couple of years ago, (probably one of the best hotel stays we've ever enjoyed - 'Moelwyn' takes some beating as a room). We have found... More

Loved the local produce and attention to detail. Trying (unsuccessfully) to emulate some of the dishes at home! More

We escaped for a long weekend to Snowdonia, and were pleasantly surprised by our dining experience. I loved the idea of starting our experience in the bar with drinks and canapes on comfy chesterfields in front of a fireplace. The only thing i was disappointed in at this stage was that our champagne was flat - disappointed as they were... More

We had sunday lunch to celerbrate a birthday. I had the terrine as a starter. I am not sure what meat it was but every mouthful was full of gristle and tasted awful. My main meal was roast beef and it had been pre-cooked as it only came rare or well done. The vegetables were served in very small saucers.... More

Thank you for your review which is inaccurate- we do not precook the Beef we cook two large Sirloin each Sunday and have done so for over ten years now. That is why it is Rare or Well done and not all the diiferent ways under the Sun. The cabbage was Braised with Double cream and Oatmeal. The Roast Potatoes... More
