Im a shredded beef person so I don't care for the BBQ here but the sides are great and its a great value!
The folks here are extremely friendly and helpful, seating my friend and I in a quieter area so that we could visit over lunch. I had a salad with pulled pork on it and the salad and meat were both very good. The service was extremely attentive, almost to the point of being overbearing, but it certainly beats being ignored... Some of the best BBQ I've had. Everything cooked fresh, homemade. Nice people, never had a bad experience.
The food here was great! I recommend eating here if you are ever close to the Memphis area. I realize Memphis is known for its BBQ, but this place has sweet corn muffins, great BBQ sauces, catfish, burgers, and the baked beans are outstanding. I will again at a Jim 'N Nick's for sure.
We went to dinner here with my husband's friend. We all had the catfish and it was really good. The service was great; waiter was very attentive and friendly. The catfish was flaky inside, crispy outside. The fries were just okay and the spinach was better than average. I'd come here again the next time we're in Memphis.
We were traveling thru Memphis, we drove thru for quick dinner.. After living in Memphis for years, had eaten at many excellent restaurants, but never found any with a drive thru that proved as good as Jim's. while not the best, it is the best drive thru BBQ we have had. Kids loved their meals too, which is very rare... More
Maybe I just came late , but there were no more spareribs " come on I'm in Memphis!" I ordered the pulled pork must have scraped the bottom of the pan. I will try another Rib Joint while here just not near closing.
Our first visit....loved it. So cute from the outside and nice on the inside. Loved the art on the walls...very funny pics. We didn't have the tacos..but Idid try the Mexican corn on the cob. We both got the pulled pork...delicious smoky flavor. The frys are fresh cut and seasoned. We also got a basket of cheddar muffins....different, but good.... More
We live in the area and had never been to this restaurant. We went with friends who like it. Onion rings were good; turkey tender and moist but not much flavor; pulled pork was just OK; did not like the taste of the sauce at all; sides were basic and nothing special. Best thing was the coconut crème pie which... More
Forget about all the "chain" BBQ places in Memphis. The natives say go to Jim N' Nick's. We had a large carry-out order, and it was delicious! Try the "Potato with Pig"...super large baked potato with lots of BBQ pork.
