Description: The Wee Restaurant in North Queensferry may seem like a quaint, local little place but its reputation is huge. In fact everybody from the Michelin guide, who awarded The Wee Restaurant a Bib Gourmand, to The Independents restaurant critics, who named it the Best Eating Place in Scotland, loves this place. With Craig Wood at the helm, top notch chef with a CV featuring Michelin starred joints and members only clubs, its little surprise to find that here are 40 of the most coveted seats in the UK. A handful of tables in a small shopfront style restaurant, The Wee Restaurant is light, bright and cosy with simple dcor. Focusing on hyper-local fish plus a few meat and veggie dishes too, the menu is concise and appealing, bringing luxury to simple ingredients through creativity.

My partner won a three course lunch for us through Kingdom FM and we decided to try it today, well, were we in for a treat, we were very pleased with the exterior and interior, we were warmly greeted and shown to our seats, the menus came on little boards and we were very pleased as we liked everything being... We called in on a Saturday lunchtime on speck. Greeted quickly and table found despite being busy - as the name suggests the restaurant is small. The table d'hote menu was short but covered most people's needs. The bread, bought very quickly, and tapenade was absolutely delicious - the best ever, I think! Mussels were good, perhaps a little too... More

Just want to say that Mark and Till from Cherry Tree Lodge in Saline would recommend this wonderfully creative restaurant to all our guests. It was busy but relaxed at the same time. The dishes were creative, colourful and just the right size. One of us is a vegetarian that doesn't eat chees and there was plenty to choose from.... More

Found this restaurant on Britain's finest website and clearly is one of Britain's finest. All our courses were fab and the bread and butter pudding is the best we have tried. We had butternut squash soup and mussels for start, soup was very light and my Hubby said his mussels were fab and sauce was lovely, I then had the... More

Went here midweek on one of those Groupon deals. The wee place was surprisingly busy. It was a great decision - the food was uber-fresh, really tasty and portion size was perfect. The menu had a lot of choice and was all very tempting. The service was friendly and certainly not over-attentive, just right. We'll definitely go again. Great stuff!

We went for their two-course meal, excellent choice for a small place and it was well prepared. Had the steak (supplement) and it was so tender I didn't even need a steak knife! Will be going again as soon as we can!

We had a voucher for lunch and this was readily accepted. The food was very good and we felt welcomed by the staff. The place was pretty full but service was good and we were able to relax and enjoy our lunch. The food is well presented and good portion size. It was quite rich but very tasty and we... More

We sat at the top of the stairs at the window and it was a little cold especially when people entered or left. The food was excellent, but the restaurant lacked an atmosphere, despite its wee-ness. Staff very attentive. This was lunch time visit so perhaps its cosier in the evening. Wouldn't rush back.
