We love the taste of the food, ... but the portion size are ridiculously small. We ordered the chicken salad sandwich and all we saw was 1 small (and I do mean small) portion of chicken salad. We did ask for more chicken salad and we were placated. However, it was a small portion. The only good thing was the... More

Their curried chicken salad on viking bread is well worth the trip. The atmosphere is kind of hectic sometimes because it's so crowded, but it's still worth it for lunch. Delicious baked good of all kinds!

Do yourself a favor and get a loaf of egg bread then get the pastry that has apples and cream cheese in it. You will be set.

Thank you for coming into Merridee's for a loaf of egg bread. And you either enjoyed an Apple Cream Cheese Crescent (triangle) or an Apple Cream Cheese Snackum (round). We appreciate you taking the time to write a review and hope to see you again soon! More

Bustllng bakery serving a wide range of pastries and pies and also sandwiches and cooked breakfasts. Lattes are very good, drip coffee nice but not so exciting. Blueberry or Cherry pastries very fine, pies delicious. Breakfast items good but not outstanding, with the exception of the French Toast which is a thing of beauty. Gets pretty busy at peak times... Had to stand in line but it moves fast. Chicken salad sandwich with chips (no substitutions) is their house special and it is excellent. Self-seating. This place has lots of tables & chairs crowded into it and it is a bustling place at lunchtime. Wonderful place to eat!

On a recent trip we had lunch at many good places found through tripadvisor, and we think this may have been our favorite one. When we arrived, the line was long to order at the counter, but they opened up three registers and we were quickly and graciously helped. Our sandwiches were fresh and delicious. There are lots of choices... More

Stopped after lunch, huge selection of baked goods. Gluten free, sugar free and the good stuff-they had it all. I needed a hostess gift so chose some items and they had a basket to use plus set it up for me-perfect!

Delicious home cooked sandwiches and such. My friend and I each enjoyed the quiche special and pasta salad. I finished it off with the AMAZING French Silk Pie (and must admit a cherry Danish). I have a sweet tooth and this place was like nirvana. Go there; you won't be disappointed.

We did not eat a meal at Merridee's, but the cookies are the best. We got 2 molasses cookies and sat outside to eat them. We had to go back in and get more!!! Will definitely go back for breakfast next time in Franklin.
