This is one place we never miss when we're in SD! The wine is amazing, and the food is delicious. The avocado cream cheese open face sandwich is one of the best things I've ever eaten. Dessert today was toffee cookie (freshly baked hot from the oven) with ice cream and caramel sauce - yes it was as delicious as... More

This place knows what it is doing, the service and food are wonderful starting when you walk in the door and are greeted with a smile. I don't drink wine so I can't speak about that, but you don't have to drink wine to enjoy the ambiance and wonderful food at Prairie Berry. The food here is fresh with a... More

I've tried most of the wines South Dakota has to offer ( schade, strawbale, valiant, one in viborg I can't remember the name of) and prairie Berry has the best by far! I don't love all of them as most are pretty sweet, but they do a great job in customer service, wine tasting, and their other products they offer.

We stopped at the winery for their free tasting. I have to admit, I couldn't decide which wines to buy and bring home, but I ended up with a case. Also purchased Himalayan salt, cinnamon honey and rhubarb preserves. The people were so friendly and helpful. It was a really good experience and entertaining. If your looking for good wine,... More

New to the Black Hills, we decided to stop here on our weekend getaway because we have tried their wine previously. Upon entering we were greeted with a friendly smile and quick description of options during our visit. We had just eaten so we didn't try the deli. They have quite a few assortments for memorabilia or gifts. We tried... More

They have some of the best wine and food in the Hills. I highly recommend doing a wine tasting! The wine can be a little pricy but worth the money.

I have to give this place a nice shout-out because they were the original winery in the Hills and have really added and improved the place over the years. There are SO many wineries out in the Hills now, but most of them just have wine tasting and wine for sale.I find the other places very disappointing, but we go... More

Sandy--Thank you for your great review! We're so glad to have you as a repeat customer. As always, you can sample 5 of our wines for free (you can get 5 additional samples for $5). The owner of Mistletoe Ranch, the Christmas store next door, decided to retire, so when you're next in the area it might be something entirely... More

We will be coming back. Didn't have any expectations for the place other than it being a winery with a free trasting room, and we were colored impressed. The wine was delicious (I'm not a fruity wine kind of guy). Yes the wine is expensive, but you get what you pay for. There are a ton of different non-wine items... More

When we first saw Prairie Berry Winery, we thought it might be just another "tourist trip." However, fortunately, that was not the case. We enjoyed a delicious light lunch outdoors on the lovely patio and then browsed around in their gift shop before our rather unusual wine tasting. The tasting was fun and the wines were significantly better than we... More

I recently organized a trip for 30 guests to Prairie Berry. Kelsey helped make the planning so easy! The staff served all 30 guests with ease, first with a private tasting, then with an excellent buffet meal. We were then invited to shop, visit, or try more samples. The staff at the sampling bars were wonderful. They gave us many... More
