Really too bad service was so faulty because the food was pretty good. Out of orange juice, out of hash brown casserole, out of wheat toast, only one kind of bagel, no mushroom in the omelet (they were probably out of them, I didn't ask)- wouldn't be awful if we had been told instead of substitutes being made without asking.... Party of 4 for breakfast. 3 weeks ago reopened under new ownership and is now called Julie's Beach Cafe. Ordered the omelets and it was cool enough the cheese wouldn't melt. 2 ordered the "Jersey Boy" neither plate was what the menu stated. No waffle (pancake given), home fries (hash brown casserole given), ham (correct), eggs scrambled (correct one 1),... More

The restaurant is quaint and has an old-town, family-owned feel. Staff was friendly and the menu had plenty of yummy options. Everything we ordered was very tasty--eggs, bacon, sausage links, biscuit and gravy. One of our cups of coffee tasted a bit burned, but otherwise the coffee was pretty good. We enjoyed it very much, and were thankful for the... More

We moved to Surfside Beach in February 2012 and discovered The Village Cafe. Ron and Darlene, the owners offer tasty Southern cooking at reasonable prices. They are open year round and we try to get there once a week. Everyone is so friendly! The servers remember what we like to drink, are fast on the coffee refills and make us... More

My husband and I went here for breakfast. He had pancakes and I had a Southern omelette. Both meals were very good! The hash brown casserole that comes as side option with the omelette is amazing!

We went to Village Cafe for breakfast based on reviews. Everything tasted homemade and service was friendly. My eggs weren't done as ordered but the server immediately took them back & had them recooked. I think this was because the electric was out for several minutes in the middle of breakfast and the grill probably wasn't heated to the correct... More

We come to Myrtle Beach every year and always look for a home cooked meal. I don't like eating at chain food resturants. Well this was a great find, fresh home cooked breakfast. We have been there 3 times this week, omlets, chicken bog, and even just the plan eggs, ham and homefries are good. We will return

Great place to start the day! Breakfast menu includes all the favorites - eggs, omelets, pancakes, biscuit sandwiches, and more. If they don't have exactly what you want just asked - they made breakfast just the way we wanted it! Can't beat the value! We will definitely return again and again. The whole family found something tasty!

Awesome Southern cuisine. The chicken bog and side vegetables were great and unlike anywhere else we've eaten at the beach. Staff are exceptionally friendly. A sure bet for lunch!

Wonderful southern food...only complaint is that my portions were too large, encouraging me to overheat!! Will definitely be back!
