Oh! We really enjoyed this restaurant. Reminds me of the ones I've been in New York and MD. My mussels were perfectly cooked and the pasta was fresh. Lee B had a wonderful lasagne. The bread was homemade. Wish we had room for dessert!!

Found the place by accident (happened to be next door to Subway) we checked Tripadvisor and sure enough it was there with favorable reviews.
The staff were very friendly, our waitress (Lisa) seemed like she was dedicated to serving us only, she kept coming to our table to get our orders in.
As soon as we sat down, we were...

My family and I went to La Taverna for Mother's Day (on Saturday evening) and the visit was very disappointing. The waitstaff was bordering on rude-especially the lady who seemed to be in charge of the waiters. The food was lukewarm. I had chicken parmagiano and my daughter had a chicken/pasta dish. The meat was tough and dry. It seemed...

I have been a frequent diner at La Taverna. Although, with any new restaurant there are challenges to overcome, I believe that after almost 5 years in Spartanburg this restaurant gets it right. First of all the food is absolutely delicious and always fresh. The salad dressing is out of this world and can be used on almost any dish....

Everything about this restaurant, its' food, presentation, and the atmosphere reminds me of New York City. It is very exacting about how everything is done.
It is a wonderful experience either for people who have never been to an area with true Italian food and for those who have lived in an area will native Italian cooking; either way it...

The food here is so fresh and flavorful. The chef and owner here is quite a character and some people may not appreciate his passionate nature. One thing that is certain is that he is passionate about the quality of his authentic Italian cuisine. The creamy tomato basil house dressing is something else. When I finish my salad I use...

Today I was told I have an attitude problem and called trash <by the OWNER of La Taverna Italian Cuisine> because I was trying to pay my bill and that of a friend celebrating a birthday. The food was delicious, however after being on the receiving end of unacceptable service and a harsh tounge calling me trash for trying to...

Authentic Italian dishes are prepared and overseen by the owner who is an Italian chef himself. He is particular about quality. He wants his guests to enjoy and be happy and keep coming back, and we do. Pizzas are very good. Diverse Italian menu. You cannot go wrong here - - it is getting popular so sometimes reservations are recommended!
This is a little gem in a strip mall. The food is really fresh, the bread is fresh baked (and worth the price of admission on its own). They have all the classics--lasagna, spaghetti, etc.--and the pizza is great, but be sure to check out the specials. Lunch specials are good, dinner specials are better. Shrimp Fra Diavolo was one...

We have been coming here for years. Rossaro is always at the front to greet us. The food is awesome and large portions, enough to take home for lunch. There bread and house salad dressing are, Molto buona. We have had the last 4 Christmas party's catered from here. Don't miss this place.
