This is a must stop and eat everytime you pass and it is open. No one does a better shrimpburger. In fact, don't ever order a shrimp burger anywhere else because you might be put off.

Shrimp shack is wonderful. I've been there a handful of times and the shrimp burger is the best in town and it's unique. Also the sweet potato fries are pretty wonderful as well. sometimes they have some weird times of operation and you have to catch them in there few hours of being open. There is also usually a line...

This is the place for casual quick shrimp, hushpuppies, you get the picture. Love it. Not fancy but real nice place to be. Not a very exciting place for a BLT, but that was probably a bad choice on my part.

Order the shrimpburger. Unique local eatery. There are several steps to order, however there is seating on ground level.

We decided to stop at this side of the road, small restaurant on our way back from Hunting Island, SC. It doesn't look like much in or out, but the food is so fresh I couldn't believe it. The one cook said it comes from right across the road where shrimp boats were parked at the dock. I can't wait...

The shrimp burgers are excellent. It's a roadside diner with seating inside and outside and screened porches. Don't expect more than a good sandwich and you won't be disappointed. We sat outside on a beautiful day and it was delightful.
Not worth the drive unless you're visiting Hunting Island, or perhaps the Penn Center and are willing to drive another...

We had suggestions from several people to try the Shrimp Shack on our stay in Fripps Island. So we did.
The place could not be simpler, essentially a road side stand, and the food was not outstanding. But the service was friendly and helpful and you can't beat the prices.
We did not find it to be slop, nor was...

We've been eating here for years during beach vacations but I do believe it's lost it's best qualities. Still enjoy the ol time, unpretentious place but the food disappoints.

funny how everyone says "oh you have to go to the Shrimp Shack and get a shrimp burger" They dont tell you that all it is, is diced shrimp with breading deep fried. no seasoning, and very small for the price. nearly $16 for two "regular" size "burgers" and one drink. Seriously? It took forever for anyone to acknowledge our...

Definitely worth the drive down Sea Island Drive. We had passed it several times, and a local told us we had to have the Shrimpburger. Right on the water, just before the bridge to Harbor Island. Went for lunch...very simple and casual, and full of friendly local folks...a good sign! A small chameleon came onto the patio while we were...
