My husband and I recently visited Landrum for our anniversary. We were looking for a nice, quiet evening out, as we don't get very many of those as the parents of two children. At the suggestion of our inn keeper at the Red Horse Inn, we tried this restaurant. I was amazed with the variety and quality of the food.... More

Stone Soup is the go to place for us. We like the camaraderie and the welcome feeling we get. The food is good, the atmosphere great. I don't agree with "the tables are too close together" comments -- there is always a quiet corner if you need one! Give it a try, its our local hangout! More

I hear many folks rave about this place and I guess it is just a matter of personal preference. I found the food to be creative, but not as great as many are saying. The food is overpriced. The tables in the restaurant are very close together, so what some say is cozy, I find to be a bit claustrophobic.... More

Enjoyed one of the best meals we've had in a very long time. All aspects of this small restaurant were outstanding ... food, service, and atmosphere. At the entry there was a small outdoor fire blazing, circled by comfortable chairs. We were greeted enthusiastically and served by an experienced well trained wait staff. The hostess/owner, Suzanne, was attentive, yet not... More

'The atmosphere is nice, if you like being "up close and personal" with other tables... The staff (2) seemed overwhelmed. I don't need to be "babied" as a guest... but some attention would be nice. I do not blame the server for this, as they were short-staffed. I ordered the "smokin-Turkey" and it was less than "smokin." I think I... More

I hit this restaurant at the height of dinner hour - no reservation - and they gladly took me and got me seated. The waiter was obviously running his butt off, so service started forgivably slow. Once he was able to set focus, everything went smoothly and timely. I had the Fried Green Tomato and Pimento Cheese starter - then... More

We recently ate lunch at Stone Soup while visiting Landrum and enjoyed it very much. The decor is a horse motif, with many racing and jumping pictures covering the walls. It was very interesting to look at. My husband and I both had the spicy turkey club sandwich and we both thought it was delicious. The vinaigrette dressing on the... More
