Dinner at Hugos recently I have eaten at many very good restaurants. Unfortunately this doesn't even come close to making the list. On a scale of 1 to 10 with a 10 being GREAT, Hugos; Food 6.5 Service 5 Ambiance 4 Not bad, just no reason to return.

Son had teh nightly special for $17.99, which was a whole lobster. Food was very good and the price made it even better. A positive dining experience for sure.

Enjoyed coming here twice with my family. Great food,service the owner Hugo was outgoing,friendly, and full of humor. I had the Kentucky ribeye med rare. First time here but far from the last. Food was very good from a brand new menu with a wide variety of choices. Had excellent NY strip preceded by good she crab soup. Service was professional and helpful. This place has been a favorite on HHI for a while and deservedly so. Prices were reasonable. Try it.

Hugo's ownership has been on island for a long time and this endeavor is equally good for those lucky enough to live here. Last night was one of the very worst dining experiences on the island in the eight plus years that we have been eating in the area. We ordered Early Bird Cabernet Filet w/mushrooms which was tough and tastless as were the side accompliments. Our server told us it was his first night and it showed, he still gets an A for effort. As far as the food goes it was just okay nothing special. I am very glad we went early for the early bird special, I would have been even more disappointed if I had payed full price for what we received.... More

We enjoyed the special asparagus-crab soup, one steak and one surff & Turf entre, and a fabulous flaming peach cobbler for desert. Everything was superb.
