Delicious food. Nice atmosphere. My husband had the little necks and Manhattan clam chowder. I had the New England clam chowder with a very fresh salad. Our server was Fred, who was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu items. Wide variety of items on menu from seafood to burgers. This is a bar and grill. Highly recommend.

Walking into Charlie O's I wasn't impressed. It smelled like a bar and there is a bar there. But the food was excellent and the fish was fresh and clearly local. The dining room was a bit dark, but the service was good.

The main level of Charlie O's is a sports bar and it's great if that's what you like. You can take your family for a casual meal i n the restaurant or hot the bar area with your buddies for a beer. Was a good place for food. Atmosphere was only just okay, gave a feeling of kinda dingy. Definitely don't sit near the door, frigging cold and loud as everyone congregates there. The wait staff is no ball of fire. Food was nothing out of the ordinary but was good.

Only one other table w/customers and we had to ask another server walking by (he didn'teven notice the empty glass at the end of the table) for a refill of iced tea. Food here is pretty good...nothing fancy...just typical 'tavern' type fare. What makes this place special is the large game room they have in the bar area that you can play in while you wait for your table...makes waiting not so bad :)

Our server was Tim and he did a great job in getting my order exactly right. We enjoyed a relaxed meal in a nice booth and the staff didn't rush us out even though it was a Friday night. We appreciated all that. Thanks, Charley O's!
