Needed to find a place for lunch on our way to newport. This place was perfect. Not much to look at on the outside. Once inside. Warm and cozy. Great clam chowder, great chicken salad. Reasonably priced.

Just ate here for the first time, it was recommended by a friend. The food was as good as he had said and the service was good and friendly. The atmosphere was casual but nice And I liked being able to see the kitchen from where we say. One major inconvenience here though Is they do not accept credit cards... More

Nice little place off the beaten track. No view to speak of but the food is excelent. There is a small bar which you can dine at and there may be 15 (ish) tables. They have a reglar menu plus a daily specials board. NICE!

If you like thin-crust pizza, you will like Gold's. It was very flavorful and the crust was about as thin as I've seen. We also had a wonderful blueberry crisp dessert. One thing of note: they don't take credit cards, so have cash on hand.

Had dinner Saturday night with some freinds. Great neighborhood restaurant. No frills, no booking, no CC's. Only the no cc is a bit of a pain as I normally don't carry much cash with me. The food is good, the atmosphere relaxed, and it's off the main tourist areas so is without the crowding and tourists that I always try... More

The staff was very accomodating and friendly, and the wood grilled pizza was good. We tried the cheese, pepperoni, and mushroom pizzas and were happy with all three. I was impressed that they used genuine sliced mushrooms unlike some other places that used canned mushrooms.

I visited today for lunch and the quality of their food has declined. I had the chicken Cesar wrap for lunch and it was very oilly. A staple of this restaurant had always been their potato salad and today they forgot to include it with my sandwich. Another disappointment. For the cost there are better lunch choices in Middletown.

My family has been going here for years and I just wanted to say that this is a fantastic lunch spot. Fresh high quality ingredients, a lot of care and a lot great dishes and specials. Puts the majority of other Newport/Middletown restaurants to shame. Not in the tourist grind, unassuming, just a place you will return to again and... More

One of my favorite places to go. I love the grilled shrimp w/ ginger rice cake appetizer. Every meal I've had here has been very good.

We stumbled across this gem exploring the local area when we got tired of the Newport crowds. Now we make sure to visit every time we are in the area. It's a small place off the main roads, but worth the extra minute turn. Salads, sandwiches and pizza are all yummy.
