Description: La Masseria Restaurant is inspired from ancient fortified farmhouses that in the Puglia Region of Italy are called “Masseria”. Executive Chef/Co-Owner, Pino Coladonato, grew up on a Farm in Puglia. He was forced to eat whatever was available but soon was tired of bean puree and decided to take matters into his own hands, creating new ways to use the same few ingredients. Now, with limitless ingredients to choose from, fava beans, chickpeas and lentils are still a core element in many of his entrees. Interior Designer Libby Langdon has created a warm, inviting dining atmosphere. Rustic and relaxed, with plenty of old world charm. Oversized iron sconces custom made from antique wrought iron gates punctuate the walls, and artful displays of antique farm tools mixed with various authentic Italian photographs all add to the farmhouse appeal. The wine list encompasses all regions of Italy with few of the best American and the rest of the world.

This restaurant had been highly recommended by several people so when my thirty eighth wedding anniversary came around we decided to try it. It was a thursday night so reservations were not a problem . The first floor was very loud and crowded so I was happy when we were escorted to a table in a quiet dining room on... More

Twice we've eaten at the bar, and twice the food has been very good. The folks behind the bar are nice, willing, and want to please. They just don't know their menu with confidence. When you're charging Boston prices, you should at least be able to do a deep dive on the specials. If you can't pronounce them correctly, maybe... More

I've been to La Masseria many times (for lunch and dinner) and have always been thrilled with my experience! The food is amazing. I especially love the rabbit and the salmon. They have interesting specials that are always done to perfection. Last time I was there I enjoyed cuttlefish for the first time! There's an excellent wine list and the... More

This was a weekend business dinner with wives - it helped to be on an expense account. The service was very good, but not great. The waiter needed to consult his notes on specials, but was attentive and personable. The tables are a little small for four with all the food. Those minor negatives were offset by the excellent food.... More

Went there for Providence restaurant week and wasn't presented with a special menu ... did you have to ask? Very strange because the restaurant was listed as participating. Anyway, big push on key items, sort of an up-sell tactic I thought. More

I love that I can always get a great pasta at La Masseria. It never dissapoints me. When I'm eating the pasta I close my eyes and I'm back in Italy. The decor is simple - Tuscan farmhouse feel. I've eaten there countless times with large groups or with just my husband and never had a bad experience. The waitstaff... More

We went here for the Restaurant Weeks specials, and the food was definitely very good. But after looking at the menu we decided we'd only want to come back if we were looking for a big splurge - the place is very pricey and not for my everyday budget. More

I went here with a date on a Wednesday night. Was hoping for a quiet casual spot for a bite to eat and a few glasses of wine. I ended up getting the meatball appetizer, figuring for $17, it had to be something incredible. Ended up being two meatballs that were reheated in a microwave. What was even more disappointing... Very upscale for a quaint New England town. Felt totally out of place and the food and drinks were only okay and very pricey. We have a plethora of restaurants to choose from, I don't understand why this one is so popular. More
