We were a group of 7. I chose this place because they had something specific on their online menu that I wanted to try. When I saw the menu, the item I wanted wasn't there. The server explained that they had just changed the menu, but he advised me that they could probably make it for me, which they did!... More

One of our favorite hometown restaurants. Varied but limited menu and the mussels are to die for. The service is usually fantastic. Soups and salads are good, but a la carte. The hanger steak is especially tasty. We were just there for their mothers day buffet and it was fantastic. The stuffed pork loin and the beef were delicious and... More

We used a restaurant.com certificate and had a very nice meal from start to finish. We had been here in it's previous incarnation as Opus, so we decided to try the new version. The Whiskey flights are a very creative selection. We chose the Irish Eyes version which were three very tasty Irish whiskies. Starters were excellent...short rib perogies, and... More

This was my daughter's birthday, so my other daughter and I flew to Pittsburgh from Halifax, Nova Scotia to celebrate with her. The meal started well with pierogies, but we did't really like the ceasar salads. Then we ordered our entrees. Scallops were good, filet mignon was rather tasteless, and the fish and chips was too battered. Desserts were shared,... More

The Braddock Brasserie is located inside the Marriott Renaissance Hotel near the Pittsburgh Cultural District and PNC Park. We were staying at the Renaissance, so we tried it for dinner. The menu selection was somewhat limited. The entrees had good flavor and consisted of fresh quality ingredients, but the creativity and presentation was similar to what you would find in... More

We went for dinner and breakfast when we stayed at Renaissance. Dinner was fine but nothing exceptional and the restaurant is just dark. There were more fries than mussels. Breakfast was not good. The pancakes were undercooked, the omelette came different than we ordered and the food was just mediocre. The woman who seats you is just grumpy and really... More

My husband and I spent a night at the Renaissance in Pittsburgh to see the ballet. We looked around the cultural district for a place to eat, but decided the place that looked best was inside our hotel. We believe we made the correct call! We started with seared scallops- very satisfied with the four large sea scallops that were... More

The food was exceptionally good quality. It was difficult to choose from the wide selection. Ironically we received more information from listening to another waiter speak to his group. Atmosphere was very intimate, especially in the booth. More

This restaurant is inside the Rennaisance Hotel, so it's existence is not so obvious from the street. Too bad, because it's more than just a hotel restaurant and its worth a special trip. The building iteself is an architectural gem, so stop to look around the grand lobby before entering the flashy restaurant. They have a nice selection of beer... More

It was wonderful to have drinks & dinner in the old Renaissance Hotel. My crab cakes were adequate, but the french onion soup was salty. The vegetable was asparagus, & although I like my veggies a bit crunchy, this was too much. The service was very good. For the price, I might have rather gone somewhere like Grand Concourse. More
