What more can I say. This restaurant has one of the best views in the city and great food to go with it. A wonderful place for a special dinner or to take visitors to get a feel of our gorgeous city.

Visiting area from DC on business and ate at bar on a Tuesday night. Ordered grouper and salad. Fish was fresh but recommend avoiding the chef special fish recommendations (in my case artichokes, olives, etc.). Just get grilled, blackened etc. Lived in Florida and grouper was as fresh as there. Salad had some fried curly stuff that I would suggest...

We were SO looking forward to going to this place, expecting well prepared fresh seafood - especially given the price. And it was a complete disappointment. First of all, let me start with the positive. Sever was honest, told us which items were just "so so". Atmosphere pretty good. That's as far as the good goes.
Now, to the disappointment....

Enjoyed seafood sampler app-crab cakes- Chilean sea bass and more. Great food and service if the hostess who spent her time leaning against the wall. Never offered for us to have a drink while we waited.
We went on New Year's eve for a double date with our good friends. The food was wonderful from the bread to the steak and even their signature side salad. We also enjoyed the service provided and will definitely go back. Menu is very pricy, but food is very good.
As good as you can get them in Maryland! Best view of Pgh. in my opinion. Wait staff is wonderful! Very little breading and so fresh!
The quality of this place has slipped while the prices have soared. Starting with the shrimp cocktail. The large fresh shrimp are gone. We got mushy frozen small shrimp. The array of breads are gone. Chefs seem to be over cooking fish now (may of been a bad night). I do not have an issue with paying for quality but...

My wife chose the Monterey Fish Grotto as the site of her birthday dinner. Not long before this dinner, she had taken her staff out for a Christmas-time lunch and raved to me about the food. She wasn't kidding. But there is even more to revel in at the Monterey Bay.
Part I. When our menus were placed on our...

Four of us were celebrating the holiday and our someplace special was Monterey Bay in Monroeville. My husband and I had salads (roasted beet and strawberry chevre) both excellent. Our dinner companions shared a smoked salmon, sour cream and caviar appetizer. The reason they chose it was for the caviar-which was so sparse and tiny, I thought it was ground...

You will enjoy the food just as well as the Mt. Washington restaurant. All the fish is extremely fresh and well-prepared. Our server was knowledgable and attentive.
The only downer was the 2 hostesses on a Saturday evening who showed little concern for welcoming us or getting us seated promptly despite our reservation and multiple open tables. When I was...
