We were visiting friends in Media and they recommended La Belle Epoque.......we are so glad they did. The setting is so perfectly bistro and the staff most friendly and engaging. A very warm and cozy atmosphere with a very European feel. We were almost glad the weather was too cool to sit outside, as we would have missed this great...

Have dined there for lunch. Food is good but with much smaller portions and over-priced compared to some of the other wonderful restaurants iin Media.

Went here for an impromptu Sunday Brunch and found everything about this cozy little French Bistro to be GREAT. The service was excellent...the atmosphere, very quaint and minimalistic, but just right...and the food---the food was just delicious. A very nice variety of Brunch items and alcoholic beverages as well.
What a nice surprise!

We took our daughter before she had to head back to college. Of course, we ordered the French Onion Soup, and it was not good at all. This soup is so easy to make really good that it was a big surprise to have such an average tasting dish.

My rating: 3 and a half out of 5; a solid "Good".
La Belle Epoque Cafe and Picasso Restaurant next door are owned by the same individual, chef Loic Barnieu. I've reviewed Picasso here at Trip Adviser: it was disappointing.
However, La Belle Epoque is not disappointing. I've dined at La Belle Epoque several times and have found a pleasing...

My husband and I went with another couple and we wanted to be able to talk without yelling. This restaurant is perfect for comfortable conversation. Wide selection of wines. Menu is somewhat limited, but the entrees are nicely prepared. We've found the specials to always be "special". Great spot for couples, too. The addition of the new outdoor patio this...

Work in area has me trying out a few dining options south of Philadelphia. How could I resist a restaurant with the same name as the wine bistro in Paris? 'Could it live up to its name?' I thought.
Great corner location in a town that has obviously seen the fruits of rejuvenation. Outdoor seating is cafe style, and indoors...

My husband and I stopped at La Belle Epoque last night for some wine and a cheese plate during dining under the stars. It was not crowded...but waited a while to get seated. Our waitress didn't come over to us for 10 minutes. She was a very nice waitress though. We ordered and didn't get our wines until our cheese...

Four of us went on a Saturday night. The food was modest. The waiter brought several wrong dishes and then added an unauthorized 40% tip which I did not discover until my credit card bill arrived. It took 6 calls to get the wrong amount refunded and several people who answered the phone were not helpful - very poor customer...
