We were greeted and made welcome from the beginning to end of our meal. The wait staff was knowledgeable and very professional. The food was well prepared and very good.

I was surprised to find this restaurant on a recent trip to the states. We stopped on the off chance that there was availability and we were in for a great treat. The food was just excellent. A huge variety of international cuisine all washed down with a selection of national and international wines and beer. Friendly staff and well...

The food was very good but we had to wait one hour after we ordered to eat. We arrived on time and had the soup of the day, excellent but thefood came one hour afetr and the waiter gave a lot of excuses.
If you are in "Amish Country" but don't care much for the Dutch Country cuisine (or just want a break from it), Lancaster apparently boasts a few dining choices. Gibralter is one of the best. Its location is on a college campus (Franklin and Marshall) which made me expect a "college" eating experience (burgers, pizza, etc.), but Gibralter is nothing...

Gibraltar offers some high-end seafood dishes in an upscale atmosphere.
Don't go in if you aren't willing to spend some $$$.
Several members of our party ordered the soft shell crab appetizer and were very pleased.
I had the fisherman's chowder which was very good.
Everyone in our party of 8 were quite pleased with their meal.
Service seemed a...

The food at Gibraltar is always top notch but the decor is very dated! We have been eating here for years (10) and it is looking a bit sad inside.
Our party of 4 enjoyed an excellent meal at Gibraltar. Three of us had the fresh fish of the day, which was Florida grouper, which was perfectly prepared, and very delicious. The other entree was the scallops, which were even better!
The fresh oysters were as good as I've ever had - ordered 6 each from BC and NS Canada....

Made the reservation using OpenTable for the weekend of Valentine's day. Restaurant looks nice, but you are going to pay for the looks. Would have been better off going across the street to Iron Hill Brewery.
My husband and I decided to have an impromptu date night and finally try Gibraltar. Since it wasn't a special occasion, we decided to try the small plates and sit at the bar. We shared the soup and had 2 other apps plus a cocktail each -- our tab was $60+. For that amount of money, I expect great service...
