There aren't that many places to dine on LHI and Arajilla is one of the even more expensive places for dinner ($100/pp) but for a special occasion it is worth the visit. (I noticed there were no prices on the menu, as in "if you need to ask how much you can't afford to eat here" attitude.) I had a... More

Great fit-out, nice staff and I understand that we are a long way from home but $18 for an entree and $38 for a very small main on a big plate is a bit much. Perfect for couples wanting the most sophisticated dining experience on the island but maybe a bit over the top for mere mortals. Also didn't like... More

Each time we have been on LHI Arajilla has been full so all of our dining relates to being guests. Yep some meals haven't been knock your socks off, but then again they weren't bad. LHI deals with limited fare which is vey much determined by availability which makes some meals more equal than other s ;) Now we've probably... More

We had booked in advance (before arriving on the island) for a special dining experience at Arajilla, and it sadly disappointed us. The menu offered a choice of just two dishes in each of the entree, main and dessert categories. Despite having a choice of only two, the kitchen or waitress managed to mess up the orders for both entree... More

Sounds great, a place to eat in a day spa, but the service was slow, the prices exhorbitant for afternoon tea and the cakes small, dry and stale for $7.50 for a small square of chocolate brownie. The smell from the septic system permeated the eating area too. More

If good quality restaurants accept bookings from guests who are not residents at the adjoining lodge then they should not treat them as lesser citizens. our wedding anniversary dinner together on this beautiful island was spoiled by the attitude of the maitre de who made it plain that we eere tolerated but unwelcome.
