We tried the young rooster, twice cooked duck, escargots and creme brulee. The food overall was not bad. The owner greeted us and showed us to our seat. She was very pleasant and friendly. They really made sure their guests were not frustrated from all the wait hence they brought out olives and sorbet in between to serve the guests during their wait.... More

beautiful french restaurant with lovely parisien hostess who is married to the french chef Igor. they made us feel so at home with Igor regularly asking if we liked his cooking. scallops to start were perfectly cooked..the steak in roquefort also..and the creme brulee dessert was the best ever..the caramelised sugar topping was so crisp and the vanilla so good.... We've been to LPS twice now and each time we grow more fond of this little culinary treasure in Byron Bay. Chef Igor and the lovely Dominic make you feel very much at home in their cozy, unpretentious abode - as if you're simply friends over for dinner. On our first visit we discovered the special order plates in the... More

My partner and I love this little place in Byron Bay! We have been going there for the past four years and have celebrated many fine occasions in this warm, fun and loving place! We return for 3 reasons: 1. the food! From the buffet for Bastille Day to wonderfully romanic and satisfying meals for Valentines day to my birthday!... More

We were excited to try Byron's # 1 rated restaurant on Tripadvisor. Honestly, we left a little disappointed. The owners are the Chef and his wife who looks after front of house. Madame is very friendly and personable and is over everything which at times can be a problem when it is busy. Food was probably the biggest disappointment. Over... More

First we were greeted with a very warm welcome. The restaurant itself is cozy, with an understated French feel. We recommend the scallops, duck and of course the Creme brûlée was to die for!!! We also enjoyed a gorgeous red wine, lovely strawberry liquor and my husband gave the French beer a big thumbs up! Upon being asked how our... More

This is the best meal I've had outside of France (and frankly, it bested some meals I've had in France). Impeccable service, cozy atmosphere, engaging and warm chef, and by far the best Coq Au Vin I have ever had, period. They had activities for the children, a kids menu, locally sourced ingredients, excellent quality wines (that were not over-the-top... More
