Went to Rojo Rocket for a girls lunch. Had all been there before and were not overly-impressed but wanted to give it another go as lots of our friends have fun there. Arrived at midday hoping to have a drink in the bar only to be told it was closed as they weren't busy enough. Disappointing, but we had a... More

Ladies lunch for 3. Food was varied and ordinary. Service was slow, inconsistent and ambivalent to be kind. Ordered a 2008 Wickhams Road, Yarra Valley Sav.Blanc to share @ $36.00. Wine brought to the table - not poured or presented- placed in a bucket on spare chair at table ( that's ok it is a casual restaurant ?) - admittedly... More

A few friends and I decided to come for dinner on a Friday night, but we had trouble booking online. We showed up anyway and, as we suspected, they didn't have our reservation, but the friendly waitress found us a table at the 8:30 sitting. I'm kind of glad we had to wait because it meant discovering the fabulous cantina... More

This place is not only super cool, the food is awesome and the service is first class. Mexican food can often be tasteless but here they use traditional techniques and it works. Add in the wonderful venue with a great garden, comfy booths or long tables spread around the balconies and you cant lose. Perfect for a long lunch or... More

The atmosphere and decor are amazing and definitely worth seeing. Seems ideal place for a party and waitstaff are easygoing and all have a personality. Food is authentic Mexican (not tex mex eg nachos). Personally I find all Mexican food too heavy but everyone in my group loved the food and the drinks were great. I would definitely recommend going... More

The online reviews were mixed, so I went with a degree of hesitation - I should not have. There is a culture ofgenuine, welcoming hospitality amoung all the staff The food is fun and fresh. Cocktails are average, perhaps best stick to wines and beer. A little expensive for Mexiacan food, but I'd happily pay more the overall experience we... More

I love good Mexican food but often in Australia, all you can find is Tex-Mex. This is the real thing but apart from the variety of authentic food, the restaurant is actually fun - the owners have a real sense of humour with the design and artifacts that you cannot help but enjoy it. More

You'd be justified in thinking a Mexican-themed restaurant in the economically depressed Central Coast of NSW is to be avoided at all costs. Think again. Rojo Rocket is an absolute treat, and judging from the youngish throngs who frequent this holiday house converted into an ecclectic bar/restaurant/phenomenon, it's no secret, in these parts at least. Tasty food coupled with crisp... More
