On Friday December 23rd, my wife and I went to the Cross Keyes Inn in Fox Chapel, Pa. for a pre-Christmas dinner. The reason we picked the restaurant was that we were looking for a restaurant that would have an olde time holiday feel close to our home in Gibsonia, and we had been there a couple of years before... My wife and I frequently dine at Cross Keys Inn, a restaurant that was renovated on a historical property site and turned into a restaurant by the new owners. We've been many times as it is one of our favorites in Pittsburgh. Service: The waitstaff here are very personable and friendly. They are courteous and polite without being overtly intrusive.... The service deteriorated to our... More

But all of that is in addition to the great ood and service. Most historic places have great atmosphere and then drop the ball with the food. Not here. From fabulous burgers and salads... More

The Cross Keys Inn has been exquisitely restored and features the masterful and witty service of David behind the bar, along with some of the feel of the great "La Foret" restaurant, which was a former venture of the current owners. The Cross Keys Inn is more casual than La Foret, with a less sophisticated menu, but it is still... More
