i was and am disappointed with their hot dogs dried out, not as tasty as 35 years ago..the orginal hot dog from yoccos was excellent..id say, they are so so now...
Yocco's is a rite of passage in Allentown. The dogs are average but the sauce on them is pretty good. The perogies are excellent. This is local flavor fast food. If you don't like either perogies or hot dogs -- don't go.
Just don't like their food....too much, don't like the sauces, just can''t find anything that makes me want to go back there again.
You haven't lived until you've had at least one dog with everything. They are absolutely delicious. When you have a junk food craving, bypass the chains and franchises, and head to Yocco's. You won't regret it.
We love Weiners. Didn't like these. Over cooked, skinny things. Guess you have to grow up with them.
Being a hot dog purist from Chicago, I was very disappointed in the whole experience. The dog itself was nothing special(along the lines of an Oscar Meyer dog) and the signature special sauce was like watery chili. The staff wasn't very friendly either. Perhaps it was a bad day, but I never went back.
Grreat hot dogs, don't bother to eat anything else. The service is very fast wheather you eat in or take out.
it's not a five star restaurant -- it IS a local shrine to family owned fast food -- dogs are cheap, tasty, and several generations of locals will attest to it --
This is a great place to stop for lunch. The service is great and the prices are very good. It was $10 for 3 hot dogs, fries and two sodas. Its right off of I-78 and is easy to get in and out of. One thing, they do not take plastic, cash only.
