Good, solid steak joint, very pricey. Not many varieties but good quality meat prepared well, Terrible location.

We celebrated Christmas Eve with a large family group in a private room. The service was excellent. The owner was welcoming and made us feel special. He gave us a history of the resturant and how it relates to Peter Luger's in Brooklyn. There were chicken and fish options for people who don't want steak. It was a fun evening...

I have been to Great Uncle Peter's many times, as well as most of the Famous steak houses within driving distance (Ruth's Chris, Smith & Wollensky, Palm, Barclay Prime, Morton's & of course the mecca of Steak Houses; Peter Luger's). I was surprised by many of the reviews on here. I've been to GUP's atleast 20 times and never had...

We really wanted to adore GUP's. As former New Yorkers, it was tradition for me to take my husband to Peter Luger's on his birthday each year. We (well, mostly he) missed it when we moved to the Poconos and we did manage to make it to Brooklyn for some birthdays. Nonetheless we were delighted to hear about Great Uncle...

Unpaved parking lot. No atmosphere inside. No table cloths! Cold inside - wife had to leave her coat on! Waitress with no niceness at all! Food was not what we expected. Drinks were highly priced and the waitress asked how to make one of them. 6 guys sat behind us all wearing jeans and sweat shirts. We felt like we...

I'm from out of town and would not have found this place if I wasn't directed by a friend. The restaurant is quaintly decorated with country Victorian touches. The menu is not extensive but what is there is high quality.
I had black bean soup to start which was good. I shared the porterhouse for two and it was enough...

We went on a Tuesday and they were out of potatoes. A steakhouse, out of potatoes. The server was quite overbearing; we couldn't have a conversation without an interruption. I was a server for many years and empathize most always but this was ridiculous. The porterhouse for two cost $100. I never mind paying for a good meal, but this...

I found that the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, decorated nicely, the staff friendly and the place was very clean. However, I was not as impressed with the food and the staff as the other two reviewers.
The servers were nice but they tried too hard which, when serving our dinner, they seemed to be in eachothers way. One waitress...

I have gone to this establishment several times and find the food EXCELLENT. The service is very good, the steaks are out of this world. Nice friendly staff, clean well kept facility.
Steaks a bit expensive, but WELL worth the price, as they are dry aged. Rest of the menu average priced for upscale facility.
The thing I like best...

Nothing beats the best in Brooklyn but this Peter Lugars (Owned by Mr. Lugars' great great nephew) is located around rolling hill. The inside of huge house it is located in has a more romantic and /or family atmosphere. table are located in different rooms and there was a fireplace blazing right next to mine! The food is as close...
