I grew up in Carlisle, and Massey's was the spot to get your sweet tooth fix in the summer. Since then, they’ve opened to full season hours, with longer hours, and still keeping that good Ice Cream & Custard consistency. I love their artic mounts, homemade soft serve custard, and of course, their original custard. All of them are excellent!... More

There are several "bad" days every year. The last day of baseball season. tax day, and the day Massey's closes. Thank goodness they're "down time" is getting shortly. There is such a thing as Massey's withdrawal. Still serving the same "hand dipped" chocolate that's been there since I was a kid, and that's a long time ago. It's one of... More

A little expensive, but tasty and a historic Carlisle spot for some old fashioned ice cream. When the weather is nice, it's fun to enjoy a cone while sitting on the curb or under a tree.

I have to admit that I have been spoiled by very very good frozen custard. My first purchase, I realized I couldn't tell by tasting if I had ordered chocolate or vanilla. I like the tables in the shade.

If you're looking for a nice soft serve cone, then I guess this is your place. If you're looking for a sighting of Michael J. Fox, then I'd come during the summer ballet school season. It's an institution and for nostalgia's sake, definitely visit. If you're looking for great ice cream? Go to Leo's at the other end of town.

It was a beautiful summer night, and we knew we wanted to hit this place while we were in town, based on all the great reviews on TripAdvisor. The Massey's neon sign, with the pink and orange sunset in the background, created a great summer evening vibe...perfect for a soft-serve cone. I had to go for their signature mango flavor...I... Read a bunch of reviews about Massey's and one theme dominates...blind nostalgia. I've eaten at Massey's for 40 years and hope to continue for a few more, but let's be real. The soft-serve ice cream is pretty much the same as any other place. Parking can be difficult. Want to sit and enjoy your cone? Better be prepared to risk... More

You want the best - go to Massey's. It's as good now as it was when I was a kid. The frozen custer is my top choice. Yum

I will echo what everyone here is saying about Massey's. For me, it's one of the few places that still serve birch beer ("red bull") shakes, and they do it well. Michael J. Fox must agree, as he stopped in once and they have the photo to prove it.
