Jonathan's was suggested by the hotel I was staying at (The Grand), it's just around the corner. It has a fun atmosphere with a full service bar, flat screens, and friendly service.
I ordered two Oyster Shooters and each was served in a shot glass with cocktail sauce. The oysters were plump, fresh and delicious.

Jonathan's is a great little place that always has a fun atmosphere, good service and great drinks. The wine selection is good and the weekly drink specials are awesome. The food is also very tasty and the waiters are above par.

I was a fan of the original Jonathans. This does not compare. The decor is so, so. The food disappointing. I had the Stuffed Dover Sole. There was barely any sole. The stuffing was mainly breading. I wondered if they even put shrimp and crabmeat with the breading. My companion had the Crab Louis and there was barely any crab....

A group of friends from out of town met here for lunch--clam chowder was excellent, as well was the varied beer selection. Great casual place downtown dining.
