Passing through -- we stopped to pick up some pastries as gifts to our hosts in OR. We got a few octupus cookies for the kids (adorable :-) and selected some assorted turnovers and brownies too. The Beer Brownies were yummy, as were the Shipwreck Turnovers, Apricot & Marionberry Turnovers ---- you really can't go wrong with any of the... More

My husband and I always stop here on our way down the coast to get some of the wonderful pastries for our breakfasts or snacks during our trip. We also stop on our way back home to get goodies to share with the rest of the family. All types of pastries, cookies, etc. Many gluten free choices. The pastry is... More

Great stop for delicious pastries and a fun atmosphere. Plenty of pirate souvenirs and entertaining decor. The marionberry creamcheese and Shipwreck turnover were both very good. Pastry dough melted in your mouth.

Captain Dan's is my go to cookie bakery. They really do it well. The turnover cookies are, I think, the best. You won't be disappointed if you try one. The best part of Captain Dan's is that they have gluten free cookies and little gluten free cheesecakes and muffins. What a treat! And the best part is that they are... More

Went here first morning of beach vaca for breakfast goodies. My oh my how tasty are the turnovers (especially the Shipwreck). Very flaky pastry. Would make a special stop here each time I return to the beach..probably bad for the waist-line, but worth every calorie!

Being a life long baker and a professional pastry chef, I can be pretty hard to please when it comes to baked goods. Kathy Draper's goodies hit the mark for me. She and her husband, Capt. Dan, have a delightful business in Lincoln City. I bought a marionberry cream cheese turnover, a cinnamon roll and a nautical knot. OMG! I... More

Our lemon bars were delicious. We were disappointed that it did not offer baked bread among its baked goods.

We had read about this pastry in a local publication and it really caught my husband's eye..given that it has BACON in it. We stopped by on the way home and only got one...I declined to indulge...BIG MISTAKE....this turnover is to die for...the pastry couldnt have been better and the filling was amazing. Next time we'll buy 6!!!!
