This small restaurant obviously has a great chef. My husband ordered the pork chops and he felt they were the best he has ever eaten (outside of home of course). We were there in mid Apr 2012. Cannon Beach was still cold, rainy and blustery. We looked forward to The Irish Table visit. We got right in of course. A quiet table in the rear was nice. Service was friendly. We needed more light to even read the menu. We had to hold up a candle to read it. My... More

I showed up about 45 minutes after opening, and was told the only thing available was a communal table. Yay! I love communal tables. To start, I had a very nice beet salad on greens (you had me at beets). The waiter suggested splitting it, and I should have followed his advice. Although, quick fix -- make smaller salads. That... We ate here on Easter Sunday 2012 and then went back the following night to dine again. Not being curry fans, we didnt plan to have the curried mussel dish everyone raves about but caved at the last minute and are so glad we did. The first night we had them as an appy. Our entrees were fabulous as well... More

We were torn on our first night where to eat and we flipped a coin. The toss did not treat us right as it led us to a disastrous dining debacle at Sweet Basil's Cafe. Worst service, food, experience ever. The second night, after having flushed the coin down the toilet (ok, not really) we followed our guts and headed... More
