Service was quick and the fish and chips cannot be bettered.Advise anyone to make a visit. We will be back.

Could have eaten in but decided to sit on the prom looking out to sea for the full east coast seaside experience. Huge beautifully cooked fish and lovely chips. Mmmmmmm

I ordered a Jumbo Haddock and it was fantastically cooked but we wereleft waiting quite some time. I feel the decor of the restaurant a little dated considering its opposition Steels has the similar aged feel to it but the actual food was beautiful

Oh dear For many Years I have religiously used and 'preached' to friends about this chippy... No longer... Fish was far from fresh and full of bones, chips were mainly the end bits and dry as a bone Seriously disappointed

this isnt the first review i have done about this eatery but i felt it deserved more praise 3 large fish chips and peas with bread and butter and tea for under £35 and food was piping hot and fresh i canhighly recommend this chip shop,good old fashioned chippy

Had lunch here today (1st Feb 2013) by way of JUMBO haddock, mushy peas, chips, bread and butter and a pot of tea. All very, very good. This offers you a choice to eat inside or take away - we decided to take out and ate the fish and chips whilst walking along the sea front on a cold wintry day, but both enjoyable

Good old fashioned fish & chips served by cheerful staff. Unfussy eating area. Food always delicious. When every where else is closed, Ernie's is still serving.
