Turtle Bay certainly lives up to its reputation as the best place to dine out with family in Akumal....great place to take kids who are fussy eaters...
Went to Akumal beach for the day and stopped for a bite to eat at this restaurant after reading the reviews on TA. Food was amazing! We started with the nachos & guac which was great if you like beans. For our mains we had the fish tacos and the organic chicken. The serving size was massive so make sure... More
Our second breakfast at Turtle Bay this trip and again no diss appointment . My wife had the crab cake eggs Benedict and I had the regular what's Benedict . Very tasty and topped off with a spicy Bloody Mary . Great way to start the day
We ate here after seeing other reviews and the place lived up to the hype, Fantastic tacos ( tempura shrimp and ahi tuna) and great onion rings an guacamole. making it even better is the happy hour with 2 for one drinks and $70M tacos. Service was pleasant although you have to ask not to have everything brought at once.... More
I read about Turtle Bay on Trip Advisor, but the reviews do not do it justice. THE BEST FOOD IN MEXICO! You need to go here if you come to Akumal.
Beside La Buena Vida we found Turtle Bay Cafe to be our other favourite during our 8 night stay in a villa in Akumal. Turtle Bay cafe hasn't got the seafront location, but the food is even better than the very good food at LBV. Combine this with happy hour prices (4-7 pm.) on tacos and flatbreads and you have... went to this restaurant every day because they had good espresso and pastries to go with it. They also have a large menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is fresh clean tasting food, the juevos with mango avocado and tomatoes, yum yum.
It is not on the beach. Its on the other side of the road. I had breakfast here . .wow . .what the heck . . Some egg dish with green chillies . . Blew me away. My friends got the standard Denny's grand slam and loved it. Prices are medium. Its owned by a good guy from the USA.
Just returned from Akumal... can't wait to return! Hands down the best food I had down there and better then a lot of places up north. The service and owners are great. Really enjoyed speaking with them and getting to know the staff. Each time we all tried different entrees and shared, never had a bad one and couldn't try... More
It took us awhile to find, but it was worth it. I had the blackened fish tacos and my husband had the coconut shrimp tacos. (Mine was better!) Dinner and beers - $16. Great atmosphere and staff.
