On two special occasions I have requested a single red rose on the table for my partner. The first time it was obviously a home grown rose. On the second occasion a staff member had driven to Gawler for a rose. On both occasions the service, like the fare was exceptional. I can confidently recomend a romantic dinner here.

The main attaction for us was no pokies, but other than that we found ourselves with a pretty average pub meal at much more than pub meal prices - especially the wine list. Our meals - entree and mains were quite acceptable, but nothing exceptional - as might have been indicated by the prices. The cook/chef appears to be afraid... More

Four of us had a meal here a couple of weeks ago and we were all very impressed. The service was slightly slow but very friendly and helpful. The place was full so I can understand why it was a bit slow. The prices are higher than usual pub prices but the quality of the meals certainly justifies the bit... More

What a relief it was to come here for lunch after eating at the Lyndoch Hill restaurant the previous night. The food here was magnificent three meals served and all three were perfect. We could not recomend this establishment highly enough. The service was impeccable. The owners of this place obviously pour their heart and soul into this restaurant, and... More

Great steak and honest country service. The wine list was impressive and naturally contained alot of locals.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Make sure you have a reservation though (the last seating is 730pm). There are plenty of choices on the menu so you will be able to find something you want and the food is tasty and fresh. However, the type of food and the way it is presented (and the ambience) is very... More

A wide choice menu and the three courses ordered by each of us,where delicious, My Scallops cooked to perfection, Rack of lamb tender and just right and vegetables al dente. Sadly the Creme Brulee and the Lime tart with Lime ice crean was off the menu; though the Sticky date pudding with butterscotch sauce was light and spicy and a... More

Thankfully we found this restaurant at the last minute for lunch. Great service even though they were very busy. Meals were prompt and reasonably priced. Enjoyed the light cooper ale battered King George Whiting chips and salad. Coffee and dessert was delightful.

Let's not talk about the way this restaurant is set up. Suffice it to say that when it comes to interior design, ambience and initial impressions, this place doesn't pass muster. But for friendliness and the quality of the food, you won't find much better in the area. The prices aren't cheap by local standards but being from Perth, we... More
