My two companions and I had lunch here and it was our best meal on the island. The clam chowder, oysters rockerfella, mahi mahi, and fried oyster caesar salad were all delicious. We had a great waiter and the service was terrific.

I've been going to this pub every chance I get when in OBX. Excellent food and drink. Try the vodka oyster shot for a boot in the butt!

Visited Howard's Pub on afternoon of April 26. Numerous Bikers were there for Bike Week, so we expected slower service. We were pleasantly surprised that the waiter we had was very attentive and the food arrived without delay. Excellent service and good food makes this a place to visit if you're on the island.

I know it is an institution on Ocracoke and for that reason I will tell you to go have a drink there, but to stay and eat dinner, when there are so many great places on the island to eat, would be a mistake. Everything was just okay, nothing spectacular and for what it was, it was overpriced.

The beer selection is excellent and very well organized, the food average at least what we had which was a shrimp basket and special of the day chili. The setting was funky and fun the service was excellent and friendly.
