In an area of numerous restaurants, this one is outstanding. All the vegetables for the salad and sides are from local farmers or grown on site. So fresh. The fish served is "daily catch" and also prepared on site. Hard to choose which I liked more. Plentiful water-view seating in a relaxed atmosphere. The best meal I've had here. Delicious!

Basnight's has been a must stop for year's of vacations on the Outer Banks. Seafood is consistent fresh and well prepared. The atmosphere is distinctly nautical and very friendly. If you like pina coladas, this is a must stop.

The Lone Cedar Cafe reminds us of how the beach used to be in the 70's & 80's....family owned restaurants, a relaxing, laid back atmosphere and of course tacky beach souvenirs. The restaurant on the causeway from Manteo to Nags Head offers sound views on both sides. Our dinners was delicious. The seafood is local, freshly caught and deliciously prepared.... More

The best seafood on the outer banks. We always eat dinner there there several times during our stays. Wish they served lunch like they used to do.

The Lone Cedar Cafe is a delightful restaurant. The decor is in keeping with the history of the Outer Banks, and open decks and large windows allow diners to see the waters of Roanoke Sound just outside. Even the lone cedar tree near the windows has an occupied egret nest for those interested in birdwatching. Seating is abundant and the... More

If you have never ate here I will tell you that you have missed out . Top of the line seafood at reasonable rate, Sunday brunch is the best especially for the price. The service is great, their staff is awesome.

Always quality seafood and well paired with sides. I could make a meal out of their moist corn bread. Nice sound front setting, with a nesting pair of ospreys. If you have been doing you own fishing, you can bring the fish to them and they will prepare it for you in the restaurant. I have been coming here for... More

First dinner of our vacation and the prescience has been set! The broiled seafood combo was delicious with scallops, shrimp, crab cake, and fish that were perfectly seasoned and prepared. The salad was so fresh and the strawberry vinaigrette was divine. I saved room for dessert by avoiding my baked potato and only nibbling on the mixed veggies. What was... More

Having eaten dinner at the Lone Cedar many times, their Sunday Brunch was amazing. A great variety of breakfast and lunch foods including mouth-watering omelets, a 'traditional' breakfast meal, stuffed French toast, waffles, seafood options also. The bacon and onion omelet was unlike anything I have eaten in the United States. It was full of flavor, reasonably priced, and made... More
