This place is great! Very surprising for a bar and grill. Seafood is excellent. Many choices on the menu for all needs, including sandwiches, salads, etc. Service is great and everyone in our party had a great time. Will definately come back

While on a walk I discovered The Red Drum Taphouse; the door was open but the restaurant wasn't open for business but I went in anyway. Eventually someone came out to greet me and give me a tour. I fell in love and came back for dinner. That was it - still in love and is my favorite place to... More

This was our first trip to the OBX and a friend had recommneded the Red Drum. It could not have been better. Great waitress (Mae), good choice of local beers, everything home made even down to the cocktail sauce. Big portions, neither of us could finish the drum special nor the crab cakes. Ordered the 1/2 dozen steamed clams for... More

This is usually our restaurant of choice on all of the Banks. The food is very good, hot and consistant. The beer is good too! Although, they went up on their prices and now we are forced to eat there less often. If your on a budget, you may need to go elsewhere.

My husband and I went to the OBX during the off season and decided to try a place we hadn't been before. Our service was perfect. I have never had a waitress be so concerned about how happy we were. We started with raw oysters and a Spinanch and Artichoke dip. I had Crablegs that were steamed perfectly and my... More

My fiancé and I stopped In for beer and food and ending up hanging out for a while. The food was awesome and service was very good. The atmosphere was great made you feel like you were at the bar back home. Lots of great seafood, if you are ever in the area you must stop in. Only bad thing... More

We have been there during a weekend and we experienced very good food and atmosphere and reasonable prices. Ate some crab legs, oesters and fish. Drinking good beers. A place to recommend in almost winter March in Nags Head.

Went on a Friday night, off-season. Packed with happy people --- in fact, it's been a long time since we've been to a place that had such a crowd of clearly happy folks (maybe that's the OBX!) Seated quickly, great selection of local beers, good menu assortment. One of us had had enough seafood for the week, and ordered a... More
