Argyles is one the fanciest, most gourmet restaurants on the Outer Banks. My taste are very simple and palate uneducated, but their food is most enjoyable. Deb and Peter know how to serve great food and make their customers feel welcome.

I just got back from OBX after having my daughter's wedding at Argyle's on 9/18. I can not tell you how nervous I was having a wedding in a place I had never seen, and had no idea at all what it would be like. From the moment I stepped foot in Argyle's Tuesday morning to start setting up I...

We had the absolute pleasure of having Argyles cater our daughter's wedding at an Oceanside rental home on Aug. 11th. It was fantastic! Everything from the appetizers being served on the beach, to the fabulous dinner at the house and beautiful wedding cake. All of our guests raved about how delicious everything was. A favorite was the Key Lime chicken...

Was very disappointed in the quality of the food. I ordered the seafood fra diablo and it was terrible. The sauce tasted like tomato paste and seafood was just ok. my boyfriend ordered some kind of shrimp imperial dish and that was just as bad. Will not be going back very expensive and disappointing.

I noticed the January posting, and that you are local. We are not open in December or January. I hope you will try us again, and please let me know when you...

The food here is great especially for lunch. They sell really nice chocolates and desserts. The owner really knows his wines. The atmosphere is also nice.
This was one of our stops on the Outerbanks Restaurant Tour where we met the owner PJ. We had a sample of pasta and wine and went back a few nights later for dinner. The food was so fresh and delicious and our server was wonderful. He was knowledgeable about everything from the seafood to the exotic buffalo dish which...

My family and I went to Argyle's for the Thanksgiving dinner buffet on Thanksgiving day. The first thing I noticed was the comfortable atmosphere at this establishment. The lights were kept to a low enough level so that one did not feel like they were in a cookie cutter chain restaurant. The food was nothing short of amazing they had...

Went to the 3:00 pm seating for Thanksgiving buffet expecting a delicious meal. First ordered iced tea which was extremely watered down and had almost no flavor. that should have been the first warning. Headed to the buffet table filling my plate with the ample variety of items that were offered. The mashed potatoes were like glue, the dark meat...

I am so sorry you were disappointed with your dinner. During the day we had over 100 people in and everyone had a great meal. We even had guests come to our other shop to say how wonderful the food was. I am not sure what happened with you , but my staff called me to tell me you were...
