We had a terrible server who was quite inattentive, and although the food was good, the atmosphere was really lacking. We went on a Friday night, and it was full of rowdy 50-somethings - we could barely hear each other, and I had several rude comments from customers at the bar as I was heading to the restroom. Will not... More

What a fabulous restaurant! We hesitated to take the 11 mile journey from our downtown hotel to the suburbs but it was well worth the 10 minute drive. Charming atmosphere with peppy tunes and the outdoor seating this time of year was perfect. Took the advice of other advisors and substituted my side of fries that came with my angus... More

I know so many people that make a huge deal out of Southern Roots. I have been there several times, and am not from the area. I have to say, the food is overcomplicated. Like the last time I was there, they served okra. Now, I have had my mother's and lots of other restaurant's okra -- fried, boiled and... More

It's like going to your favorite restaurant and bar at the beach, without the drive. With a laid-back atmosphere, you'll run into everyone you know because it's the place to be, no matter what night of the week. Be prepared for a wait because it's small and very popular, but worth the wait. We love the salads, vegetables, and seafood.... More

Finally made it to this place!! I loved the atmosphere, the HUGE tent enclosure out back is great! Our server was terrific, thanks Courtney! The food was good, but my expectations may have been a bit high - certainly worth going back for, and often, but not as unique as I was expecting. The flat iron wreak was great, my... More

This is a newer restaurant in the area, it serves primarily a 'southern style' food. It is decent food, but the primary problem is the noise and the crowding of the tables in the dining area. Additionally although there is a parking lot in the rear it is not lighted well enough and not easily accessible. Unfortunately Greensboro/High Point NC... More

My wife and I have been a couple time. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and the food is excellent.

This restaurant is actually in the heart of Jamestown. We dropped by earlier in the day to see the interior and check that the menu was the same one we saw on the website. Met the owners, who are wonderful, and couldn't do enough for us. So we met here for our business dinner, and the staff was so welcoming... More
