My wife and I had dinner here on may the 1st. We were celebrating our first wedding anniversary. The place is beautiful, it seems like an old house from the 19th century with a cozy and romantic atmosphere. The service was polite, very attentive and friendly and yet not invasive. They have an interisting (pricy) wine list but you can... More

Our friends surprised us with a special dinner to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary on April 30th. We were in a private room on the second floor of the restaurant (which was a good thing, considering the exuberance of our celebration!) I adored the polenta appetizer, salad with baby greens and Gorgonzola, and the scallop entree, and everyone at our... More

A chef-owned top quality restaurant very close to uptown Charlotte. One of the most original and remarkable places to go dining in the city. That's why, it's our first choice when we have some special guests. Besides the incomparable taste of every dish and first-class service, the porch outside offers a nice chance of sipping some evening drinks -especially in... More

We had dinner there this past Saturday night. We sat on the porch as the weather was quite lovely. The atmosphere was great. The service was excellent. Our waitress wasn't the friendliest but she was very attentive to our needs. We had the fried oyster appetizer which was excellent. The veal chop was very good as well but could have used... More

I was in Charlotte working, and was there for about 3 weeks, putting in a lot of time. On the eve of my birthday, I decided it was time for a treat. I found the Fig Tree on Trip Advisor and thought it sounded good. Well it was beyond good, it was truly wonderful. I had soup which was exquisite,... More

Went here for our 11th Wedding Anniversary, and found the house to be very cozy and elegant. I thought I was underdressed in slacks and a Polo shirt until some guys showed up with Jeans by the bar area. Anyway, the food. Started off with a mixed cheese platter, which had a nice selection from Blue, aged sheep, Goat and... More

This was a very classy place. The food was excellent and so was the service! It has a great atmosphere with private rooms for large parties! I would go back for business or personal pleasure!

What to wear: a jacket would be nice, maybe a tie (if it's a special occasion). What to take: a thirst for wine. The Fig Tree has some awesome prices on more expensive bottles. For example: Joseph Phelps Insignia, 2006, Napa Valley cab. Price? $140. Total Wine sells the same bottle for $150. If you have mobility problems, be sure... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Fig Tree. The quaint location inside a renovated historic home is very welcoming. The food was delicious and service was excellent. The wine list was extensive. Excellent "date night" restaurant.

Charlotte is lucky to have many great restaurants, however, The Fig Tree is top in my book. The service is excellent and the food is fabulous. The wine list is top notch. The menu is always changing. I am a want-to-be Foodie so it may not be for everyone. Everything is delicious. There are only about four other restaurants in... More
