We walked to this restaurant twice during our stay at Carolina Beach. The people were very nice and the food was very good. My wife and I both drink decaf coffee and it was the best that I have ever had. We would definately go back.

We might not have found Gulfstream ourselves as it is off the beaten path. But definitely worth finding! Be prepared- no credit cards but the food was so reasonably priced it wasn't an issue. we both had the fried shrimp and it was wonderful! Very generous portions and very reasonable. Had breakfast there. I asked for a western omelette with my onions sauteed before adding to the eggs. The did it like I asked them to. It was delicious. The home fries were awesome. Employees were pleasant and communicable. Give them a shot. Yes they take cash only. No credit/debit cards.

Loved the food, environment and great value. Staff was busy however if you are not a local the friendly regulars will help with getting their attention. Patience pays off and food definitely is worth the wait. Who knew grits on the beach would rival eastern North Carolina's own?

We were recomended Gulfstream by the front desk at the Marriott for breakfast and it was top shelf. The pork chops were perfectly cooked,as was everything we ordered. Service was there to attend to our every need and when they were out of cantolupe, were offered a fresh fruit cup. Nicely done!

On a Sunday morning at 10 AM, it was crowded - as would be expected of the best breakfast place on the island. It's worth the wait - or you could sit at the bar like we did and make friends with the wait staff. They're fun to watch and extremely personable. Eggs benedict with grits can't be beat!!

Breakfast is awesome there. Dinner was good but steak could use more flavor. Great variety on the menu. Be prepared to wait a little bit they are always crowded especially with locals because their food is good. They only take cash. Btw. We will be back. thanks.
