This is a tiny bar (large groups will likely have problems getting seated unless you time it just right) with lots of local color, that happens to have a few small tables in it. We went early in the season, early on a week night and walked right in. The fried mac'n'cheese was a "I'm on vacation" diet deviation that... More

Nothing to dislike except it can be hard to get a place to sit. It's busy at both downtown and Carolina Beach locations. Simply selection of locally harvested seafood prepared the way you like it. I found an age group of 30s and up would frequent this and I suspect any "Oyster Bar". A social atmosphere in the latter part... More

An old friend and I decided to check out this spot. Wanted really good fresh seafood in a laid back atmosphere. Exactly what we got! Loved letting our hair down and being free to munch out with no frills and good food. We enjoyed it so much for dinner we went back the next day for lunch! Loved the peel... More

My husband and I ate here with our 17-month-old recently and it was a great experience. It is a small, no-frills seafood bar with wait-and-snag-a-spot-yourself seating, but everyone couldn't have been nicer. We shared a platter of oysters, peel-n-eat shrimp and crab legs and were very pleased with the quality and freshness, as well as the quantity for the price.... More

I come here for their shrimp, and beer. Live everything abou this place! Sometimes they get so busy the service turns bad, but that won't stop me from returning every year.

It's a bar and they have a nice selection of steamer seafood which we love, but it's just too small to eat comfortably in their. Good selection of cold beer!

I stopped by for a t-shirt and we ended up eating and staying most of the evening. Fresh shrimp and oysters, great appetizers and a fun atmosphere. Worth the stop.

We stopped in one evening early in our trip and just had a couple small appetizers; we loved the Jalapeno Bottle Caps & Mussels...so we went back again and had the Peel & Eat shrimp and oysters. The shrimp were by far the best we have had on the island and a must for any future trips we have! It's... More

Very small cute place. Tried their oysters- they were great even in off season for oysters. Not kid friendly place though.

I capitalize BAR because this is definitely as much a bar as a restaurant. We have a 3 year old and I wouldn't take her in there. We went on a Friday night with some friends. There were 5 of us, and we were lucky to get a table for 5 because I think there couldn't have been more than... More
