If we're anywhere close to Boone, we make a point to stop in Black Cat for lunch. Personally we think it's that good...satay it to me softly and white trash burritos with tofu are personal favorites. Nothing fancy, just a reasonably priced burrito place with a decent beer selection.

A fantastic locally owned restaurant with great food and an excellent beer selection. My favorite: Thai me up with shrimp and sampler (guac, queso and salsa).

Stopped here for a late lunch one evening. the burritos are massive. i had ordered a side of chips and salsa which I found was not necessary. they give you enough on your plate to snack on. I had the enchiladas and they were some of the best I have ever had.

The price was reasonable and the burritos are massive! the salsa is REALLY hot though. the mild is pretty flaming hot even. they give you odd little toys as table markers, interesting place to eat and a pretty good deal!

This place is soooo Boone. The burrito combinations are great - you should take a chance on some of them - too many good ones to name and just feels like the quirky town that Boone is!

The food here is simple, but tasty. You can build your own burrito. The chips and salsa are very fresh!
